Ophthalmology Specialist
Completed six years of medical education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine. Carried out his specialist training in ophthalmology at the Ophthalmology Clinic of Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, qualifying as an Ophthalmology Specialist in 2004.
Has more than 20 years of professional experience. Has worked at İstanbul Training and Research Hospital, Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital, Diyarbakır Maternity and Children’s Hospital and Diyarbakır Children’s Hospital.
Cataract and anterior segment surgery (phacoemulsification, monofocal and multifocal intraocular lens implantation, management of surgical complications); glaucoma monitoring with medical and surgical treatment; paediatric ophthalmology and squint (refractive error screening, amblyopia treatment); medical retina and diabetic eye disease (diabetic retinopathy screening, retinal vein occlusion, age-related macular degeneration).
Author of 14 articles in international peer-reviewed journals (SCI, SCI-E and international indexes) and 22 articles in national peer-reviewed journals such as the Turkish Journal of Ophthalmology.
Has presented more than 40 oral and poster papers at national and international congresses and attended over 60 congresses, symposia and professional courses. He regularly follows the national congresses and the spring and winter symposia of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association, as well as the congresses of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS).
Received his specialist certificate in Ophthalmology in 2004. In 2005 he was awarded the board certificate of the Turkish Board of Ophthalmology, issued by the Qualification Board of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association. In 2008 he received a course certificate in anterior segment surgery and phacoemulsification from the TOD Applied Surgical Training Centre, and in 2011 a development course certificate from the TOD Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Unit.

I follow current medical developments and take a patient-centred approach. With many years of clinical experience, I focus on protecting eye health, on early diagnosis, and on building appropriate treatment plans.
