PENILE FILLER

Penile filler in Denizli

Penile filler is an aesthetic procedure aimed at a temporary increase in girth. It does not treat a functional problem: it is not a solution for erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation or infertility. That distinction should be made clear at the outset, so that expectations are right.

What is penile filler?

The procedure most often uses filler products containing hyaluronic acid, a derivative of a molecule found naturally in the body. The product is distributed in a planned way into the subcutaneous layer of the shaft, aiming at an increase in girth.

The procedure is not aimed at lengthening; the target is girth. It is not permanent: the filler is absorbed by the body over time and its effect diminishes.

Assessment and the procedure

A urological examination comes first. The aim is not only aesthetic assessment: conditions such as a buried penis appearance, curvature due to Peyronie’s disease, active infection or a skin problem need to be excluded. Where one of these is present, the priority is that condition rather than a filler.

The procedure is performed by a physician under sterile conditions and local anaesthesia. Short-lived swelling, tenderness and bruising are expected afterwards. The period of abstinence and the follow-up appointment are set out by the physician.

How long it lasts, and managing expectations

The effect of hyaluronic acid based fillers is temporary. How long it lasts varies with the density of the product used, the amount applied, the person’s metabolism and their lifestyle. Repeat treatment may therefore be needed at intervals.

Procedures carried out on unrealistic expectations are the most common cause of dissatisfaction. The limits of the change being aimed for, the risk of irregularity and the likely need for repeat treatment are discussed openly at the consultation.

Risks and when it is not appropriate

As with any injection procedure, there are risks:

  • Swelling, bruising and temporary tenderness
  • Irregularity or a palpable firmness where the product has not spread evenly
  • Infection (the risk rises markedly in non-sterile conditions)
  • Rarely, serious tissue problems caused by injection into a blood vessel
  • The procedure is not appropriate in the presence of active genital infection, a skin lesion, a bleeding disorder or an uncontrolled chronic condition.

Who should perform it?

This is a medical procedure and should be performed only by a physician, in an authorised healthcare facility. Where it is carried out in premises of uncertain standing or by people who are not healthcare professionals, the risk of products of unknown origin, of infection and of lasting tissue damage rises sharply.

Applying substances claimed to be permanent to the genital area is not advised, because of the risk of tissue reaction and of deformity that is difficult to correct.

Frequently asked questions

Is penile filler permanent?

Hyaluronic acid based fillers are not permanent; they are absorbed by the body over time. How long they last varies with the product and the individual, so repeat treatment may be needed.

Does filler correct erectile dysfunction?

No. Penile filler is an aesthetic procedure; it is not a treatment for erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation or infertility. Those complaints are assessed separately.

When can sexual activity resume after the procedure?

The period of abstinence is set out by the physician according to the procedure and to how healing progresses. Swelling and tenderness are expected findings in the early period.

Can filler be reversed?

Products containing hyaluronic acid can largely be reversed where necessary by applying a dissolving enzyme. The same is not true of permanent substances, which is one reason they are not preferred.

Are prices for the procedure published on the site?

No. Under the regulations, prices, campaigns and before-and-after images for healthcare services are not published on a website. Information about the plan is given after an examination.
